I've had good luck with this Realtek chipset noname card,

It's cheap and the four I've bought for friends and family have been
flawless so far. If you're not into wardriving, (don't think the utilities
recognize it) hard to go wrong with it. "Course, I haven't had any trouble
with the DLink stuff either.
