Hi,

I am waiting for delivery of an ASR-8400 Modem/router, what is the best
way to set it up for 2 PCs one with Win98SE and the other with Win XP? Is
it better to have them share one IP address or should I use 2 separate
addresses?

Can anyone point me in the direction of useful setup information.

Thanks
Gerald

Set the PCs' internet access to connect through a LAN. The "gateway" (if you
need to specify it) is 10.0.0.2 (the router). Everything else is automatic.
The router will allocate a private IP address to each PC.

If you can't browse to http://10.0.0.2 to enter you ADSL username and
password then you should open an MSDOS window the try

ipconfig /release_all
ipconfig /renew_all
then
ping 10.0.0.2
should work
