Don't try to solve problems you don't have yet and can't even identify.
Simply "feeling" that a reinstall is required is a long way from "knowing" a
reinstall is required and "knowing" the exact problem and the exact cause of
the problem.
Wait for the "professionals" to finish their work. Then you will have a
clean environment to work with. You might be surprised how many problems
might "go away" when they are done that you would be vainly trying to solve
on your own beforehand.

Ghost is fine if you remember to use GhostWalker to alter the SID everytime
a machine is created from that image,...simply altering the machinename
isn't enough. You have to:
1. build the machine from the Image
2. change the machine's name
3. use Ghostwalker to change the machines SID
4. add the machine to the network.
