Dear Group,

I have Linksys BEFW11SV2 and I'm living in 5 room apartment. I have the
router placed in the same room as where my computer is. In the middle in the
hous I can use the wireless router. In the living I cant. I'm afraid that
the best thing to do is place my wireless router somewhere else. Is there
software where I can monitor the strenght of the signal.. Are there any best
practises for this ? Must I change some settings in the wireless router so I
can use my wireless router in the living without moving the router to
another place ? I thougt it could reach 100 m. My hous is not that big. Can
the signal go through graniet walls ?

Thanks for tips

Best regards,
Shiva

Linksys has a signal booster that some say is good. I have never used one
so I cannot give an opinion.

You could download NetStumbler, this allows you
to see the signal strenght and lots of other things.
