Thanks all

Another quick question, i did a speedtest from bt and it showed the
following :

Test1 comprises of Best Effort Test: -provides background information.
IP profile for your line is - 4500 kbps
DSL connection rate: 448 kbps(UP-STREAM) 8096 kbps(DOWN-STREAM)
Actual IP throughput achieved during the test was - 4177 kbps

If you wish to discuss these results please contact your ISP.
If you are experiencing problems with specific applications, servers or
websites please contact your ISP for assistance.

Your test has completed please close this window to exit the performance
tester

Please can anyone explain this to me, and will my ip profile go back up to
7150kbps as it was before?

Thank you

Yes, if your connection remains stable and you sync consistently above
this. A reboot once a day can help (making sure you sync again at a
respectable speed of course)

It's not an exact science but yes it can take a few days.

Thank you Bob

One last question sorry,

Indeed my line IP Profile has been increased to 5000kbps today when I did a
test, does it go up in bits or should it go up at once?
My router has been syncing around 7000-8096kbps each boot.

Once again Thanks for the info

John
