best 802.11 PCI wireless card for use with linux?

I am currently running Mandrake 9.1 on my desktop system.
We are getting 802.11 wireless soon and I want to know which wireless PCI
card I should get to get the best linux support?

If there is a wireless PCI card with open-source drivers, great, I will get
that one if I can find it

Otherwise, I will have to get whichever one has the most usable native
linux binary drivers.

In the wireless-howto there is a list of cards and supported chipsets.

Assuming you mean 802.11b, Orinoco/Prism/Hermes based cards are known
to work well. Support for 802.11g cards is still limited.
