Best 8-16 port gigabit ethernet switch?

What is the best 8+ port gigabit ethernet switch? How much do these babies
cost?

I've been satisfied with the 16-port Dell we're using on one subnet. It
is not really being taxed, but the users are a lot happier.

Unless you define "best" and what you are looking for, you will probably
not get any good answers. That said, I just recently purchased a Compex
GSC2008WM, which is a 8 port 10/100/1000 Mbs managed switch. It does
both tag and port based vlan which was important to me. I got mine from
http://www.c-source.com/ and list there for $328 which was surprisingly
affordable for the features.

CompSource screwed me on tax and delivery time though. I did not manage
to place an order on their websiste, and when I called in they did not
mention that sales tax applies in MA. The item did not ship when they
promised, however they did call the vendor and got my order moved up
when I complained about the missed delivery date.
