Belkin Wireless Router how to extend using more cabled connections?

This 54g router currently runs 4 cabled and 2 wireless PC connections.
The signal to the wireless PCs fluctuates so much that I think it best
to add a switch and connect them by cable.

Reading the instruction booklet does not give guidance about this. My
previous experience with a Belkin fully cabled Router was that a
nominated socket provided the up-link simply by pressing a button.
Does anyone have guidance on how to achieve this with the wireless
router?

I am loath to dump it for a wired modem simply because of cost
(installation is at a Charity Day Centre with limited funds).

All you would need is a cross over cable between your router & your switch,
that's if there isn't the button to push on the router. Even if the ports
are supposedly auto switching it may still be prefferable to use a cross
over lead anyway.

run one cable from the Belkin to a switch and plug the PCs into the
switch. The switch may have an uplink switch on one port, or a
dedicated uplink port but most these days just auto-detect and reverse
the connections as required.
