I am running a Belin Wireless Router with wireless cards in both my
laptop and my pc. The laptop (a Dell Latitiude D600 with Dell Wireless
card works fine - no probs but the desktop (A Compaq Deskpro p3)
machine that was working fine with a wired connection now seems to
have problems retrieving webpages via the Belkin Wireless Card I have
put into it. I've exchanged the wireless card and still the same
problem - it connects fine for a few web pages then drops the
connection and the only way to get it back is bugger about opening and
closing browsers until it reconnects. It should be said that the
entire time the signal strength and connection via the wireless card
shows as being fine but still it is dropping its connection to the
network.

Any ideas would be very gratefully received as I've tried Belkin's
website (yawn!) and god forbid I have to ask someone at PC World!

Many thanks - please email me

I too have the same problem with the USB Belkin adaptors. I am working to a
Vigour 2600W wireless ADSL router. The only way I could get it stable on XP
Pro was to use the auto detected drivers which were SMC EZ Connect Wireless
USB Adapter(SMC2662W). It works perfectly even with 128bit encryption.
