I am trying to research a Belkin F5D 7230-4 for a friend who is having her
first DSL setup experience. www.belkin.com appears to be down or dead. Is
this typical of their site and equipment? If so, it's refund time.

There are several models that have this name. The latest is version 8.

I've never had any problems with belkin, either their site or their
kit. Both are working for me right now...

My experience with Belkin F5D7230-4 has been negative. This is not to say
that Belkin doesn't make good products. My wireless router kept
overheating, dropping signals and needed constant rebooting. Futhermore,
the firmware appeared buggy. Still, when it worked, it worked great. I
ended up getting rid of it. Because of my experience with that particular
wireless router, I've been reluctant to purchase another Belkin router. I
will eventually. As for www.belkin.com, I am able to access it, therefore,
their website is functioning properly.

Are you for real?

How can a web site being up have any bearing on a hardware product?

The Belkin site is up for me.

I have a Belkin wifi router and Belkin PCI card and both work perfectly.
