Belkin Pre-N with XP AND Vista

I have a Belkin Wireless Pre-N router, with a Belkin Wireless PCI card
in my desktop and Qwest DSL service going through the router. The
desktop is running Windows XP and connnects fine, however my new Windows
Vista laptop has connection issues. I have tried everything I can think
of but the connection is inconsistent, even when I place it in the same
location as the laptop with the laptop off. My wife just got an IBM
thinkpad with Windows XP, and it finds and connects to the network fine.
She can't get Explorer to open, but I think that may be and issue for
her IT guys at work (it is her work laptop). Any help would be
appreciated; we both start classes in two weeks and need to have our own
access.
