Belkin Pre-N Save file takes long time.

I'm using a Belkin Pre-N router (F5D8230-4) and pc card. Win XP Pro.

When using Autocad, a fairly large file, when I save the drawing it takes
about 3 minutes before I can work on the drawing again.

If I just transfer it over the wireless network it only takes about 2
seconds.

When I have it open, and save it, I get a progress bar that takes about 2
seconds, then wait about 2-1/2 to 3 minutes for the drawing to finish the
save and be ready to work on again. Sometimes it gives a message that it
cannot save the drawing.

When I save onto the same computer (not over network) it's very fast.

The router is well located, and the notebook with the card is close, always
about 97% on the reception.

The Belkin tech support seems to have no idea and tells me to return it if
not satisfied. Almost an encouragement. Maybe they are right.

Any ideas on this?

Just curious, what is the "ACK Mode" setting?

GC

Following link had something about setting "ack" mode in order to
increase speeds.
