Belkin F5D7230 question

On a Belkin F5D7230 wireless router can the wireless and lan ports be
used independently of the wan port? I'd like to use the router to
connect several systems for file sharing but don't have an internet
connection yet. There would be nothing connected to the wan port in this
case.

My network (sort of) carried on working when my internet connection
vanished a while back, the F5D7230 seemed a little sluggish responding
on its management screens otherwise it kept on working. I did have some
problems but they're probably related to losing the ISP rather than
anything else. So it should work for you.

Yes.

Using one here as a bridge and switch, waiting for the WAN port to
come in useful when Telefonica get their act together.

Yes, that would be fine. Each computer would have its own IP address and the
router wouldn't really have a WAN address. But that would work ok.
