Hi everyone,
I am having trouble with a password not being recognized in the web-based
setup for my router. I used this software to setup a network security but
seems to have locked myself out of it at the same time. I do not understand
where the problem is and I wander if:
1) I can reset the AP with a new pass.
2) is the password within Belkin software related to the general logon pass.

Any suggestion is greatly apreciated
Thank you
CF

You should be able to reset the router by cycling the power and you
may have to uninstall the router software and reload it again to set
up a new password. It will be starting all over again so you will
have to go through and reset all your security protocols and such
again but at least you won't be locked out.

If you can't access a device - in my case a NetGear HE102 WAP - because it
doesn't respond to its default "name" or IP address, how do you uninstall
and reload the software? How can I find out the actual IP address the device
has? I know its MAC and its default name and IP, but neither of those will
allow it to be recognized on the LAN so that I can run setup on it. The
setup program is evidently in the device firmware since no CD comes with it
nor is the setup program available for download on the NetGear website.

All ideas appreciated! Thanks . . .
