Hey, I have a Belkin wireless network with 2 PCs and a laptop. The
main PC has a Belkin router (F5D6010? I can't see it), the laptop has
a PCMCIA card (F5D6020), and the other PC has a wireless USB adapter
(F5D6050). All computers are running Win98 FE.
The main PC and laptop have never had a problem networking. I can have
the laptop outside in the yard, about 700 linear feet from the main
PC, and have no problem at all.
But the second PC with the USB adapter is a new addition, and it's in
the next room; say, 15 linear feet (if that). At first, I couldn't
connect at all until I downloaded the newest software update, now I
can connect at 100%. The problem is, after 15-30 minutes, it just
drops the connection and starts "scanning." It never finds anything,
and I end up having to restart the computer for another 15-30 minutes
of connectivity.
Has anyone else experienced this problem? Any suggestions?
TIA,
Mike
