Belkin bridging problem with security enabled

I have two Belkin G routers (7230-4 & 7231-4) that I'm using in bridging
mode. When I disable security the two routers can connect with another
(ping and access each other configuration pages). But when I enable WPA
PSK security (TKIP or AES) and enter a key via cut & paste from Notepad
the two routers can no longer connect with each other. The 7320-4 is
hardware revision 1000v and firmware revision 4.03.03 and the 7231-4 is
hardware revision v1102 and firmware revision 4.05.03. Any idea as to
what's wrong and how to fix it? Thanks.
