My brother-in-laws Belkin wireless router works fine except after a period
of inactivity (say15 - 20 minutes) the data light goes out and the only way
of getting going again is to power the router off and on again. This router
is connected directly to his tower system and the wireless link is used to
the laptop. It seems stable if the line is in constant use such as a large
download.
Is there some sort of timeout or other setting that can be corrected.
Richard

Sounds like you have a timeout set.
Go to your configuration page (192.168.2.1) and log in.
Under Internet WAN, click on connection type then 'next'
Set Idle time (minute) to 0
Then click on 'apply changes'

Hope this helps

Nick

Try going into the router config, goto Internet Wan, connection type, then
ensure Idle time is set to 0. Hope this helps.
