Belkin 7230 wireless router.

does anyone have a belkin F5D7230 wireless router/4-way switch that can help
before i purchase one.

Can you use it just as a 4 way switch and wireless connection just for file
sharing without using the router? I then wish to use router at a later date
when I have the correct modem?

Yes. It won't correctly set its internal clock but will work as a
switch,DHCP server and most of the security should work.

Doing exactly that here. Works fine - Win2K and 98SE desktops, XP
laptop with Belkin 7010 wireless card.
