Proper DNS configuration is critical for your success. Make sure that you do
NOT use DHCP on the router but use the domain controller and use the router
for the default gateway. Have the domain controller point to itself only as
it's preferred dns server and the domain clients point ONLY to the domain
controller as their preferred dns server even before you try to join them to
the domain. The domain controller can resolve internet names for all
computers if it uses your ISP dns server as a forwarder and/or it uses root
hints. be sure to do System State backup of your domain controller on a
