I'm running a home network with Windows 2003 Enterprise on one machine, and
three PCs with XP/SP2. With ICF disabled I can connect to the server from
any PC. With it enabled, I can see it in Network Places but cannot connect.
My cable modem is firewalled, and so are the PC's. Don't want leave the
serve disabled. Am I missing a configuration issue?

Thanx
Tony

Configure an exception in the ICF advanced properties on the server to allow
File and Print Sharing (NetBIOS ports 137, 138 & 139)

Hi Todd, thanx for the reply. I took the following steps:

Properties of LAN -> Advanced -> checked box to protect -> Settings
Services -> Added File Sharing-137 with the following properties:
localhost, port #137, TCP - - added similar for 138 and 139

This didn't work, but I can access the server again after disabling ICF.
Did I miss something?

Thanx in advance,
Tony

Add a UDP filter for those ports as well.
