I don't think you will get a better range using an other router / AP, it is
all
depended on where you locate the equipment. I have perfect reception
from my linksys through my whole house including the far end of my garden.
Concider another antenna configuration or relocate the unit. Just put it
somewhere
and measure the signal with your laptop until you find the best spot.
(and yes, I think the D-Link will bridge with the Linksys)
