befw11s4 all of a sudden SLOW

When I pull it out of the config and go direct to the cable modem, things fly.
When I put the befw11s4 back in, things are (seriously) as slow as a dialup
connection on wired and wireless.

I've had this V2 router for about a year and it has worked flawlessly until just
the last few days. I've reset it, I've downloaded the latest firmware and
nothing.

This is with Comcast cable service. Any suggestions, or is the unit dying ?
