As usual these days, statistics presented by someone with absolutely no
knowledge of the subject.
Surely its obvious if you are a bigger organisation you will have more
people both for and against you than a small organisation.
Perhaps they should try comparing Tesco with our local one-stop shop!

The introduction to the results does say:

The results aren't presented as a scientific statistical survey, but a
unique snapshot of the personal opinions of the 50,000 viewers who
chose to take part.

Unfortunately the way they've presented the results is absolutely pointless
and meaningless.
No less than you'd expect from Watchdog really.

After they had their typical play with the actuall figures that is....

Wouldn't mind seeing the figures if they had actually grouped
NTL/Telewest/Virgin together & split the BT ISPs seperately. Would it have
made any difference though as, as somebody has already said, Watchdog always
munge the figures to make a good knee jerk story...

Agreed - as far as the first two tables are concerned.
(The more customers you have, the more liklely to feature in these crude
"number of votes cast" tables.)
However, scroll down the page and see the "proportionated" tables for a more
accurate idea of who's best and worst.
It's interesting to see that Waitrose/Global (same ISP, I believe) featured
most positively, echoing the recent "Which" survey results.
I'd be sorely tempted to migrate to Waitrose but the thought that my email
recipients might think I'm an assistant shelf-stacker puts me off!
(Oh and they give all their profits to charity too!)

George

I see 3 of the best 4 belong to the Brightview stable i.e. Madasafish,
Waitrose and Global. [ I am a satisfied customer ! ]
