BBC Snooker stream at 1.5 Mbps

The snooker's currently being provided at 1.5 Mbps:

but you have to be on one of the following ISPs:

"Most users of Plusnet, C&W, Claranet, NetServices, Zen, Keme,
Intervivo, Bogons broadband services as well as those in the UK Academic
Network (JANET) will be able to access the video streams."

Also, broadband routers are delivered by default with multicasting
turned off, so you'll probably have to go into Properties for your
router to switch it on, and if you're on Plusnet (and maybe some others)
you have to contact Plusnet to get them to enable your line for
multicasting.

If anybody gets it to work could you comment on the picture quality?

i had a go but cant be bothered installing real player, the sooner the bbc
finish their dirac codec the better.

You can use 'media player classic' - which is a smallish video player, that
is bundled with 'real-alternative' - saves installing realplayer.

Search google for 'real alternative download' if you're interested.
