Hi there,

I have downgraded my line form ISDN to PSTN.

My new ISP tell me that it takes BT around 14 working days or longer to do
the second line check and 'switch' everything over.

Is that correct?

Thanks

Check the status on BTs website...

Replace the xxx with your BT Account Number (on your phone bill) and the
second lot of xxx replace with your telephone number inc STD code... Hope it
helps....

The account number is two letters and eight digits. Anything else is
probably the number of bills - 093M means the 93rd monthly bill.

Some ISPs can place the ISDN to PSTN conversion order on your behalf. That
way you get BB on the day the line is converted.
The way you have done will vary from ISP to ISP, but 14 days is average.

So you now have a PSTN line. I ordered ADSL (from Pipex) on Monday at 9.00am
and it started to work Friday pm.
From what I gather this not unusual. The official start date was later - A case
of managing expectations!!
