Hi there,

I think I am getting the run-a-round by ny BB ISP and I wondered if I could
check with BT to see if they have activated BB for my ISP.

This is the email I just got:

We have not as yet received confirmation from BT that your line has been
activated. We are chasing BT for an update on this and will nofity you of a
revised service activation date as soon as possible. As soon as your line is
activated by BT, we will despatch your access device and configuration
details for next day delivery. Please accept our apologies for the delay in
your service provision.

Can I check to see if BT have activated?

Thanks

Just install your Broadband modem, if the sync light (See manual) is on all
the time,
you are ready to connect to Broadband

Try looking here:

https://www.cs-server1.bt.com/hhway-...UM=YYYYYYYYYYY

- where the 'xxxs' are the a/c no. on your BT bill (2 letters, 8 digits)
and the 'yyys' your phone no. with area code.

Then click on the order no., and you'll get another screen of info.

*Try using the analogue speech relay device in combination with the built in
numeric keypad, and ask them.

Sounds like the Tesco (NTL) excuse genarator. These people really are p*ss
poor. They launched a product without the necessary forethought. I have been
trying to cancel my and free-up my telephone line for 3 weeks now, even
threatened to write to Tesco's Charirman, result - no response. They are
consistent (terrible) if nothing else. Seems a pity Tesco put their brand name
against this fiasco!
