For the printing issue, a lot depends on the printer and its capabilities,
but it sounds like you need to connect the printer to one of the computers
and then share the printer to the other computers.
Even if the computer is LAN-capable you need to install drivers on the
computers for the printer, I believe. Your printer documentation should
contain this setup information.
As for the router and the sharing issues -- does the router provide DHCP
services automatically? If not, you need to enable DHCP on the router. By
default, Windows clients are configured as DHCP clients, but you might want
to check their settings just to make sure.
For the computers to work and to be able to share files, they must have an
IP address from the same IP address range, such as 192.168.1.X, where X is
a number between 1 and 254.
