I am somewhat of a newbie when it comes to configuring iptables.

I wish to set up my Debian box so that it is configured in the following
way:

ppp0------>Firewall (Packet Filter)------->eth0-------------> LAN

So the internet connection is firewalled and then shared across the network.
I have switched ip_forward on and i have manually typed in the command to
switch NAT on.
However i need the NAT and The packet filter to be switched on permantenly.
I also need a ruleset that will adquately protect my network.

If anyone can possible help it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
James Hastie
