Any suggestions for extending the wireless range and/or strength of the
signal for this router? I have seen some range extenders/antennas from
companies like D-Link but am not sure if they would be compatible with this
router. I am more interested in actually increasing the signal strength.
Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Not really, except to move the unit higher or lower from the present
location, make sure you're away from walls and other electrical devices.
You can also try different channels than the default Channel 6. There is no
way to "boost" the signal. The MN-500 has a dual antenna system, one
external and one internal for signal balance. Environment plays a big part
in signal strength, including location of such items as refrigerator,
washer/dryer and microwave ovens.
