Base station corruption

My wireless G router seems to revert to a default MAC
address everynow and then. This means no connectivity
because the MAC adress has been cloned to that of my main
PC in order to be recognized by my ISP. This seems to be a
random process and results in a need to reset both the
base station and to re-clone the MAC adress from a wired
PC with the management software. Any suggestions as to
what might be causing this behaviour and possible
solutions would be appreciated.
