Barb, I've tried reinstalling the Broadband Utility,
installing the updates, running broadband with both,
resetting the base station, and running without an WEP. I
think I still have a little bit of hair left on the right
back of my head but I haven't had time away from this to
check. jk Please help!! Now my base station will not
even program because it says it needs to be reset (which
I've done several times) or it is saying I need to
disconnect a firewall which I don't have. I have a MN500
with a MN520 Wireless NB Card. Thank you.

hold an unfolded paperclip into the reset hole on the back for about 8
seconds until the lights start to blink.

when everything settles down and the lights are solid again open a web
browser and go to 192.168.2.1
password is admin

set everything up manually

there are instructions in the manual you can refer to

Thank you but I'm still stuck on programming my base
station. The internet connection is fine and it is
showing I am connected to the internet with a "Very Good"
connection on my laptop using the MN520. I reset the
base stations settings with a paperclip and through the
Base Station Management Tool's program, but both are to
no avail. Will you please give me more advice? Thank
you.

forget trying to run the wizard. can you open internet explorer, type in
http://192.168.2.1 and then enter the password

admin

and get in that way?

how do you connect to the internet? dsl? cable? static or DHCP?

when you say the internet connection is fine, can you get to websites or are
you just looking at the icons?

Only the icons saying my connection is "Very Good" from
my laptop; No connection to websites. My desktop which
is running through a cable modem to my base station
connects to the internet and I'm able to visit sites. I
got into the website http://192.168.2.1 before which is
the other way I reset my base station as I mentioned.
The problem comes when programming the base station. Is
there a way to do this from the site too? I looked but
wasn't able to find it. Thanks.
