Bandwidth and reliability. A grump.

I use broadband to watch Major League Baseball which streams at 400.
All I need is 512. I watch at least one game a day (from 1am until
about 4.30am) sometimes two. I catch up on the previous days play at
7pm that takes about 20 minutes. At the moment I use NTL/Virgin
through Tesco.net which is not reliable. At the moment it is uncapped.
I have never fallen foul of their fair usage policy but I am informed
that fairly soon the 512 offer will disappear.I may well have to
"up-grade" to a bandwidth I will never fully use, and of course pay
more! I don't need more speed, I don't need free phone calls, I don't
need airmiles nor Nectar points what I do need is reliability of
service.

There is something not quite right about all of this.

Fred.
