Does anyone know where windows (XP) saves the WEP codes? I want to make a
backup of the security codes on the network before making some config
changes.

Unless you have 99 other access points and clients, just write the code down
with paper and pencil.

Why don't you just ask the company's IT group to set up your personal
device for company network access rather than trying to sneak it in by
getting the codes from your legitimate device?

if the device uses a passphrase just write down or remember the
passphrase...

That is most unlikely to work since the passphrase is just a seed to the
WEP generator and will most likely be vendor specific.

Entering the same passphrase one an XP machine will treat that
passphrase AS the WEP key, which it isn't.

David.
