Backing up files on a network

Hi there

I have three computers networked together in my home. All run XP, and
everything works fine.

I have made up a fourth computer from bits and pieces and it also runs
XP.

I want to use the fourth computer solely as a means of backing up data
produced from the other three as and when they produce it.
For example computer 1 is in use daily and is used for word processing
and spreadsheets. Computer 2 is used on an ad hoc basis over the week
doing the same thing. Computer 3 is used as and when to produce
letters etc when the other two are in use.

Can anyone recommend a software solution to enable the information
produced on computers 1,2 and 3 to be backed up onto computer 4.
A solution that does the job on a daily basis automatically would be
great but anything to help will be OK

TIA

John

I believe that ntbackup is supplied with XP, although it might not be
installed by default. You can use it to schedule backups to a shared
disk drive.

If the files are important, business, remember to check the integrity
of them occasionally - as always with backups.

Worth doing such backups re "oops, overwrote old file/letter" etc.
