I am trying to setup my camera so it shoots me my pictures to my
email. But I am having trouble, no matter what I do, I can't get it
to work, it says "unknown host" and "connect: can't route host". I
think my ip address is right so if anyone knows, that would be great.

If you can log into it and you can see pictures from it then the IP
address is correct. What gives you these messages? Not sure exactly
what you're doing here, more info would be helpful.

I will be a little more specific... open up the camera in my browser,
go to the admin tools page, go to the upload options page, and there
you find some different options and one is a smtp where you can send
it to your email, and it wants the email addresses ip.

In the admin tools page there is a server report page that has the log
file, and it tell you all the processes that its going through. So
once I put in all my information in the uploads page(what I think is
correct), I hit the enable button and then I go check the log file and
its give me the reading of "unknown host" and "connect: can't route
host"

Email address IP? Think you may have misread something, what exactly
does it ask you for.

Sounds like you haven't got an SMTP set up properly. What exactly have
you got in the SMTP server box?

Have you tried just putting the SMTP address in in word form
(smtp.mailserver.com or whatever)? "email" doesn't have an IP address,
you have servers that deliver mail, these have IP addresses and
usually names as well.

Yes, it is a gmail account so I have tried smtp.gmail.com and
smtp.google.com, no go...

And you've put in all the the authentication as well? Have you tried
putting in your ISP's SMTP details?

Not sure I have, it doesn't really give me many options. All they
really ask for is the primary and secondary mail server. I guess the
only options they need is what they give.

In that case then it probably won't work with the Google mail servers
as you will need to enter the logon details. If you enter your ISP's
mail server details it should go through unauthed.
