How do I config` my email client when using AVC Broadband

I use as my main emailer `thebat` also sometimes `Outlook Express` but only for the
newsgroup side. My email its still using the slower dial up connection.

Also when using `RealPlayer` I notice it seems to be using the dial up connection
not the faster AVC connection

I have the proxy setting set up in my web browser I.E. and that uses the broadband
connection OK
