Acording to the B.T. Broadband Availability checker the house I am about to
move to is in a broadband enabled area, however it goes on to say that due
to the ditance betwen the house and the exchange I may not be able to get
broadband.

Can anyone tell me how acurate the Availability checker is and if it is
possable to find out for sure if a particular phone number can get bradband.

Thanks

Drew

If you are moving to the property why not just order ADSL on the
appropriate line and find out for sure?

I don't get the keys untill 15 November and have been offered a ADSL "modem"
and want to know whether to buy it or not.

My advice, don't buy it until you know for sure. In any event consider
an ADSL router as a better investment.

Alternatively the cost of the ADSL modem is rather small potatos
compared to the property related transactions. You could write it off
or resell it.
