Hi,

The default of avahi is "ping hostname.local" I would like to use my own
domain; like darkwolf.lan.for this I've read the manpage and websites. So
changed this file:
nano /etc/avahi/avahi-daemon.conf

[server]
#host-name=foo
domain-name=darkwolf.lan
#browse-domains=0pointer.de, zeroconf.org
use-ipv4=yes
use-ipv6=no

Unfortunately, the name resolution no longer works.

avahi-browse -a
service_type_browser fehlgeschlagen: DNS-Fehler: NXDOMAIN

I do not know, but I've forgotten something?. It dosen't help to change the
entry "#browse-domains=0pointer.de, zeroconf.org".

greetings Mario
