av out to ethernet

Does anyone know if there is a device which can take the input from the AV
video output cables from a video device such as a DVD recorder and convert
the signal to ethernet so I can route the video signal to another part of my
house through the ethernet power adaptors?

There are such devices, but you may not like the price.
