Hi,

I have a Windows Server 2003 that needs to establish a VPN connection
automatically when it boots up (before logon).

How could this be done?

Br,
/Kasper

Oddly enough it's called 'Establish VPN connection before logon'. Which VPN
client are you using?

I'm just using the native client for establishing a PAP VPN-tunnel (for
internet connection)

Is this server setup as a PPTP server so other clients can connect through
it?

Do you have a VPN connection configured in your DUN?
If so, then you should be able to logoff and then select Log on using
dial-up connection. (I don't have a W2K3 Server available to see if this is
still an option)
If so, you can modify the registry to always use this and then establish and
administrative logon if it does not connect automatically prior to logon.
Obviously your VPN connection will need to have the authentication
information set for this to happen automatically and autodial must be
selected.
