Hello everybody,
I have a problem with the AutoDisconnect feature:
In my office, we are using Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 2
as a file and printing server.
The maximum number of connections in the Pro version is 10.
The AutoDisconnect feature should allow the computer to disconnect
sessions that are idle for more than a specified time (Default: 15
minutes).
However, from time to time users fail to print or access the server
because the max number of session has reached to 10.
When I open the Computer management, and go to System Tools -> Shared
Folders -> Sessions I see that there are 10 sessions open, and for some
of them the idle time is longer than 10 minutes.
It seems the AutoDisconnect future does not work at all.
I also tried to change the value to 10 minutes, and checked that the
option "EnableAutoDisconnect" is set to 1 in the Registry.
Does any body have an idea what can be the reason ?
Any help or idea will be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Jonathan Orlev
