From all the research I can find, getting this adapter to
work in an HP mobile athlon based notebook running Windows
XP is next to impossible.

Anyway we could get that information fed into the support
loop so that the next person that calls MSFT can just be
told "return it, buy a USB adapter"?

Spent 6 hours on the phone yesterday - was a waste of both
my time and the support persons.
