There are at least a dozen messages on this board
referring to the same situation: after installation, the
card and base station cannot synchronize the WEP code.
And even though the broadband utility says there is a
strong signal being picked up, there is no internet
connection

I think we're into a design flaw here.

Hi,

Have you tried resetting the base station or just unplugging the power of
the base station and plugging it back in?
I've had situations where my wep key wouldn't sync up and I would get
encryption errors and after checking everything a reset did the trick.

Gary,
I had this problem for hours. Resetting was an futile
effort. Banging my head against a brick wall proved to be
more fun.

Read the following

ame.asp?
ICP=mscom&sLCID=US&sgroupURL=microsoft.public.broa dbandnet
..hardware&sMessageID=%253C992a01c433c7%2524d2cb16 d0%

for whatever reason, this fixed it. Any clue as to what
channel 1 has over other channels?

Yes, have tried both.

And have reinstalled both the card and base station
several times.

Any other ideas would be appreciated.
