asus wl-500g premium

I've problems with a USB drive on the WL-500g Premium router (FAT32 file
system). Allready firmware 1.9.7.2 loaded. Relative big files are
resulting in network connection problems (network not available
anymore). Little files no problem with read/wrigth operations. Has
someone a solution?

Isn't that a known issue? There is a forum at Asus site.
