Live demo of Asterisk Open Source VOIP PBX. Including a demonstration of
WiFi VOIP phones. I'll have information on inexpensive packages that make
this so easy to install with little or no Linux experience. I'll also
discuss why this technology is critical for the wireless industry and
wireless ISP's.
What Is Asterisk? (
http://www.asterisk.org)
Asterisk is a complete PBX in software. It runs on Linux and provides all of
the features you would expect from a PBX and more. Asterisk can interoperate
with almost all standards-based telephony equipment using relatively
inexpensive hardware.
