Associate mailbox to new user

I am having problems with one of my user's Windows Server 2003 (SBS) user
accounts on a Windows XP SP2 machine. After much tinkering and even
reinstalling the OS on one of the machines, I believe the problem stems from
a corrupt Active Directory user account.

So I plan to delete the user account. I have saved the user's My Documents
folder. However, I want to preserve her Exchange mailbox as well. I know
that when deleting I can specify that the mailboxes not be marked for
deletion. But how do I associate the orphaned mailboxes to the new user
account once created?

Thanks in advance,

Mervin Williams

Create new user account.
In Exchange System Manager, run Mailbox Manager. Orphaned mailbox (not
connected to a user account) will show up with a red x icon. Right-click on
the mailbox and reconnect to the new user account.

that.

Ok, well I was interested in seeing "orphaned mailboxes" and being able to
assign them to new users if need be, so,...whatever it is called,..where do
I find it? I run Exchange2000 for now.

Expand your mailbox store | right-click Mailboxes | select "Run Cleanup
Agent" from the context-sensitive menu.
