Installed Linksys wireless network PC card in Toshiba
laptop. Set up peer to peer network to a desktop running
XP with a DLink wireless PCI card. To make Internet
Connection Sharing work I assigned the IP of the desktop
as the DNS server on the laptop. However, occasionally
when booting up, 98 will add 0.0.0.0 to the DNS server
list. When that happens ICS stops working, I have to
remove the 0.0.0.0 and reboot. How do I fix this?

Hi Shawn,

The client in an ICS environment should be set to obtain its IP address and
DNS server addresses automatically. The ICS host should assign the client
an IP address in the 192.168.0.x range and 192.168.0.1 (the ICS host's
internal address) as the DHCP server.

Thanks,
