I thought I saw something about routing here, but the
message is gone.
I have two licensed versions of SBS 2003. I am using one
as a mail server (with Exchange 2003 installed an
working from an XP Pro workstation, but not a Windows98
workstation)and the other as the main server for the
business.
They both go to the same external Broadband IP which is
connected to an internal router that is setup to forward
the services to the correct server. Although I can setup
the mail server name in the main server, I get the error
that the path cannot be found when I try to connect toit
from active directory. It also chhanges the address of
the router link to the Internet (If I want to connect the
the mail server, then the main server will not connect to
the Internet; If I delete the mail server and reconfigure
the lan, I am back on the Internet -- there are two NICS
in each server).
Problem? Besides the above I cannot create an array
(with either server). Another problem I noticed is that
when I scan the internal IPs from another machine 37 and
41 ports of them are showing open when I only authorized
less than five ports to be forwarded from the router.
I cannot install ISA yet because it will only act as a
stand-alone and I want it to cover the array.
