I don't think it will cause a slow down, but it would be annoying to not
find the source. You should also be seeing a MAC address. Find it in the
customer's switch and identify the port it's connected to. If you don't have
that possibility, setup your laptop with both IP ranges and see if you can
communicate with the offending IP.
