ar5b95 wifi adapter

Hi,
I have a laptop with an atheros ar5b95 wifi
adapter that works under windows 7 but is flaky
under slack13. (It doesn't hold a connection.)
Is the ath9 module the problem here
or do I need to look elsewhere?
